I just spent the last hour and half really journaling for the first time in months...maybe years. And while I don't necessarily know where to go from here, I kinda feel better just getting it all out of my head. I'll probably look at it tomorrow and think "wow, I'm such a whiny litte bitch". I don't care.
And I don't know why I feel the need to post this, but I do. thanks for reading.

Sooo excited...I get to go see the Flyers play here in Charlotte today!!
I didn't think I was going to get to go, being busy season and all, but yeseterday, my senior told me that there was nothing to do and gave me the weekend off. Yay!!

Today, Kyle and I signed a contract to have a house built!!! I can't believe it! And, I can't wait for the building to actually start! Yay fun...it's hard to believe that we actually will own a house in a few months...crazy growing up...
In related news, Sam Hornish (Indy car driver from a town near Nap-town) wanted to buy a house in Napoleon, and when he told the real estate agent that he was a race car driver, she said he probably wouldn't be able to afford the house...she had no idea who he was! Hilarious!

Last night, I did something I haven't been able to do since I can't remember when...
I bought a shirt that had a size "Medium" on it!!! (nevermind the fact that the rest of the shirts I bought were Larges)
I think I completely skipped over this size when I was growing up. It made me so happy to try on the Large, see it was too big, and have Kyle go see if there was a Medium!
Yay for me!! (i'm such a dork!)
In other news, I hurt my new car this morning :(. Not badly, but there is a white mark around the passenger headlight now :(. So sad...

OK, so few of you actually know my brother, but I have to share this here...
My brother and Emily got engaged Monday night!!! I'm so proud of him for actually being romantic about it and not just handing her the ring some night when they were watching tv. Go Ben!!
So, it looks like my family won't be without a wedding for too long...Heaven forbid Mom and Dad develop withdrawal from paying for stuff and throwing a big party for everyone they know. Here's hoping their reception was as fun as mine (minus Janet drinking from a pitcher, breaking a bottle of Jack Daniels, and ending the toast with "I know what you're doing tonight!").
I'm so happy for them; they go well together. No one but them understands why, but they do work well. I've never seen Ben happier and I wish them only the best. Welcome to the family, Em!
Now...I only have a year to think of some good stories to pass along to Pastor to be told during the ceremony...so many to choose from, so little time....;)
We're going to Ohio this weekend to finalize the pictures for our wedding album, see the newly engaged couple, hang out with some family and friends, and enjoy the long weekend away. Too bad we couldn't have stayed in Gatlinburg for the long weekend!
